Stephen O'Brien 28/04/2026A great day out for mountain bikers. Choose from a huge selection of trails. Something for any experience level. Pay and pedal yourself or pay for the uplift. Great indoor cafe here, clean covered areas to chill, they have a shop, toilets, bike charging area. Read the blurb and come prepared!read moreread less
Scravid Guy 27/04/2026I booked my daughter and I onto the Ticket 2 Ride experience at BikePark Wales and what an amazing experience it was!We are both mountain bikers, but neither of us have really had any proper technique tutelage. My daughter has never been to a proper bike park before either, so this seemed a great option for us.We were lucky enough to get the lead beginner coach leading our session who was absolutely brilliant. Colin gave patient and in-depth guidance about each type of feature we would encounter on the route and gave individual feedback to help improve our technique as we went. Our group had a good mix of folks from people who had barely ridden a bike before to ourselves who were a little more seasoned, but Colin had no issue in working closely with us all.The trail was awesome with for learners with nothing to cause even the most timid beginner any concerns. Having all the padding and full-face helmets also provided good reassurance. The place was absolutely rammed with hardcore bikers everywhere, but we encountered almost no-one else on our trail and had no issue with any other riders. The whole group had an awesome time (6 of us in total) and I am confident that we're all better mountain bikers for the experience.Thank you again to Colin - what a legend!read moreread less
Neville Casnello 27/04/2026don't delay, book today. BPW is like a well oiled machine, I wish all business's ran like this. From the moment you park your car, you can feel the positive vibes off everyone, the visitors, the staff. The staff must all be well paid and looked after because everyone of them is friendly and will go the extra mile to make you feel safe, and welcome. The uplifts run like clockwork, with workstations with tools and tyre pumps. Then at the top there are so many trails to suit every kind of rider. I like fast and smooth, so sixtapod is my favourite, the new double barrel is fun and stretches you comfort zone (well it did mine) A fantastic day out, worth every penny. I nearly forgot the food at the cafe, I had a ride all day poke bowl with fried halloumi, oh my, it was absolutely delicious. 10/10 for everything. Thank you Bike park Wales for making my day out so special..read moreread less

Simon Morris 26/04/2026I’m 61 quote smoking a year ago after 45 years. Haven’t risen a bike more than three times in forty years. Did the Ticket to Ride day today. It was hard work at times and we did two runs of 5k each but it was a great day. Colin the instructor was awesome and about my age too. If you’re in your sixties and active, you can do this. No jumps for beginners so don’t panic. Thanks Colin, you’re the man!read moreread less

Matthew Nye 16/04/2026A brilliant 4 hour experience with bike, gloves, helmet and pads plus uplift pass all for £90 each with my son, made an affordable day out. Green trial great to build confidance, and vareity of blues to try, as we built up confidance. Reds etc look like a great challenge for future. Uplift transport fast, equipment good quality and minimal waiting around. All staff are helpful and friendly, the drivers and bike hire staff, make you feel at ease and help you find your way. Good cafe and outdoor seating for wife and dog that did not bike.Only recommendation is to add more staff on coffee machines at lunch time.read moreread less

Ben Jo 09/04/2026My son has been attending BPW for a few years now, and we honestly couldn’t be happier with the experience. He started on the coaching courses and has progressed so much thanks to the incredible support and encouragement from the coaches.Justin and Griff are absolutely outstanding—they go above and beyond every single session to make sure every child feels included, supported, and motivated. Their passion really shines through. The improvement in my son’s ability and confidence has been amazing to see, and he looks forward to every session. J B 07/04/2026Went away for a log cabin break near Merthyr Tydfil, took our bikes on the bike rack with the hope of going on some trails. Upon arrival we searched for near by runs and came across Bike Park Wales, jumped on their website and was blown away! Booked 2 uplift passes for my son and I, and went the next morning early. Just to put things into perspective, I'm early 50s and my son is 12, we both ride hard tail MTBs so initially a bit worried how they would perform but they handled it well. The park is VERY well organised, it has everything you need for a whole day of downhill, tool stations, cafe with great food, great shop, and absolutely amazing runs, too many to fit it to one day. We went down Kermit (green) twice then progressed to the blue runs. I have to say, I felt like a kid again, I really pushed it, my lad loved every minute, we can not wait to go back in the summer, we have already planned a full week of it! Utter madness, Oh, and we are upgrading our bikes to full suspension for our return so we can push it harder. If you get the chance, go, it really is a complete pleasure, still buzzing 3 days later! The staff are all so helpful, no waiting around for the lifts, no time to get bored, just pure fun... Book your visit NOW! 🙂read moreread less
TsunamH 04/04/2026No doubt this is an amazing place. Uplift crew to the coaches to the staff all round. It really is great. A couple of things to consider, the cafe feels limited in comparison to the size of the park. Also the quarry skills area is underwhelming. Other than that, it is a great place and well worth a visit. It certainly will get your ability progressing up the trails.read moreread less

G H 23/03/2026WOW what a set up. 1st time visitor. Booked an uplift pass and a hire bike. From start to finish the staff could not have bene more helpful. Most of the q's you might have are covered on their website, however, the staff checked you were all good before letting you go. Bike hire was brilliant. Bikes are new(ish) and of good spec. They set the suspension up for you. Uplift is great. Vans are a bit dirty inside (not a surprise, nor an issue). We did green and blue trials. So much fun, trials are well managed, and a mix of fast flowing and technical. Food at lunch was a great standard and, given the captive audience, reasonably priced. By the end of the day we were spent, we got lucky with the weather. Just the best day of MTB'ing. Will be back again (probably more than once) this year. Thanksread moreread less

Kaden James 01/01/2026Very good place, and highly recommended but only a slight problem most of the trials have been rode loads so are not in the best condition as the berms have loads of braking bumps but other than that great place to ride your bike. Robert A 29/12/2025Have visited BPW over few years of me riding and always been great. Most of the visits used to be with uplift service, but when Ebikes came into game things have changed. Have visited BPW on sunday just past and was a bit disappointed as it started of with not being able to buy a pedal up pass as i had no account. So had to set that up , also pass had to be purchased online as otherwise they cant find you on the system... so if no account from previous visit, cant just come and ride without having systematic issues.. also old trails could do with a tidy up and as feels like been forgotten if not riden enough like the bottom of 50 shades of black. Ebike climb is completely crap. Also the qualifiers to the trails are a joke, as seems like qualifiers been built before the trails been built so buy completing entry section you get greeted with something that is no where near the qualifiers degree seems like more aggressive bits been added to the trail as time past and im talking about black runs not blue or red so there are quite decent risks if misjudged. And overall it feels alot more like its concentrated around uplifts than pedal ups as even the certain sectios of climbs could be sorted out so you wouldn't have to deal with massive boulders on the path... i mean natural trails around wales have smoother climbs at times.read moreread less
Marius Andriuskevicius 28/12/2025Oh boy. I’ve been going to this place for about 15 years, and each time it just keeps getting worse. I don’t think I’ll be back for another five years now. The e-bike climb is just a slap in the face if you don’t take the uplift. I can see why they made the e-bike climb so difficult—so you’re forced to take the bus instead. It would be nice if they made an easy, smooth climb where you can just ride up and save battery. Then there’s the booking. I came to pay for my pass and was told I had to buy it online. That’s just rude. You’re standing there, getting paid, to make sure I can pay and get my pass easily, but instead you choose to stay behind the desk and do nothing rather than letting me go ride. Do you want people to come back here, or do you want them to leave and never return? The impression I got was definitely not to come back. What if I want to pay cash? The qualifiers are a joke as well. They should be as difficult as the full trail, not just the easiest feature of the trail—it makes them unpredictable. In my opinion, they should slow down on building new trails and focus more on maintaining the existing ones.read moreread less
Ryan Dennehy 23/11/2025I love this place and only get to go 1-2 times a year, my only gripe is, as the park is expanding along with more people there needs to be MORE TOILETS. Predominantly males and there is only 1 toilet and 3 urinals. Changing rooms would be a good addition tooread moreread less
Aslyn Elliott 21/11/2025What an amazing place. After doing a number of B1ke parks (great in their own right) I was so happy to finally reach the daddy of the UK trail centres. Thomas W 29/10/2025Had a great time at Bikepark Wales. From the start check in was super easy, and the uplift was easy and efficient, the maximum time we were waiting for it was about 4 minutes is great compared to other bike trail centres. Trails built really well, warmed up on blues, mostly rode red and 2 black trails and gave The Martian a go (but it was probably out my skill level). The trails are built super well and drain really well. It rained the day before and light rain for about an hour and trails were in super good condition. Although the board by the uplift said trails in good condition there were some people going around saying the be super careful as trails were slippery even though they werent which i thought was a bit weird. Online booking was bit difficult too. If you want to max out your time on the trails, bring a packed lunch and skip the cafe as it us super busy. Very good time!read moreread less
Caplonky5 26/10/2025Best place in the UK for proper downhill, and hopefully going to almost double in size in the coming years, excited for that It is expensive and long waits when busy, but that's to be expected, running a bike park is neither cheap or easy when you only have one uplift road that can only fit so many minibuses on. In my experience staff have been fairly nice if not slightly rushed. Overall I think the place could do with a few more staff cause that's what can cause the occasional rudeness that some talk about, its great to see that they are trying to expand to match the rate of expansion in their customer base, it seems to be busier everything i go.read moreread less
Christopher Hurlstone 14/10/2025Overall we had a good day but my wife felt the womens day was poorly organised and over sold. It was difficult to know who was who and what rides were happening. The initial uplift queue took her over 40 minutes to get on the bus, then there was a long wait at the top to start the rides. She wanted to go on the beginner ride but didn't want to wait any longer to went with the blue riders. She only managed to get 2 uplifts all morning because of this. We will be returning to BPW for the progression session course but I don't think we will ever come to an event day again as it's too busy and not worth it.read moreread less

darksmoka 02/10/2025Ok, first the good points! Very good set-up, great visitor area, uplift queues werent bad at all considering there were 500ish riders... I think they said they had 15 vehicles running, so very quick, tracks were many and varied! Bad points, 3! Now these are my own little gripes that you may feel are stupid and not bother you at all! 1st, not massively steep, but I still had plenty of fun 2nd, more bike wash stations, and make them free! We've already paid you 56 quid, surely you can give us a 50p wash included via a token system or something when you sign in! 3rd, parking... now this is a little controversial, because if you get there early, parking may not be an issue... we arrived around 9am and almost had to park on the roundabout where the entrance is, actually, there were 2 cars on the verge when we left. The road in and out is also a single track fire road basically but with the added feature of parked vehicles from top to bottom... you'll see if you go!!!! Overall good days riding, just those little niggles for me!read moreread less

Kirsty Hitchin 10/09/2025This place is AWESOME ! Visited here on Monday (8th Sept 25) so my two boys (aged 13 and 20) could enjoy the park. My eldest hired a Trek bike and my youngest wanted to put his bike to the test and through it's paces. The experience, from start to finish, was exceptional. We had a great welcome and check-in at 9am. Hire bike was collected at 0930 and a full run-through of the bike and controls etc. The staff and food and refreshments were top quality and surroundings were comfy and warm. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors, whatever you prefer if you're a non-biker. The weather wasn't great on the day and we had many showers but sunny spells in-between but the facilites and trails were outstanding and a great clean-down area at the end of the day. Denisa Tlandova 23/08/2025The best Bike Park ever. This was our 4th visit and it became a part of our holidays routine. And we will defo be back next year. Trails are absolutely amazing, food is great, staff friendly...BUT little kids on blue runs are a massive NO NO. Especially if they can't ride their bikes up to the blue runs standards and stop whenever and wherever they want. It happened twice on Sixtapot and I've only just about managed to avoid them without crashing. And on top of that, their parents told me off for riding fast 🤦♀️. Hired bikes for the day, the staff were lovely and thorough setting us up on our bikes. The bikes were fantastic and perfect for the job. Great condition and no issues whatsoever. We went for the uplift pass and so glad we did, it's a bit of a pedal to the trail head. The uplift buses were constantly running and never more than a few minutes wait for a bus, great service and drivers and staff very helpful when loading your bike onto the trailer. Amazing trails! There's something for everyone and even though we had a spot of rain the trails were in fantastic condition and rode really well. I'm a nervous intermediate rider and found all the blues fantastic, so much fun, even ventured onto some of the reds! Really enjoyed wibbly wobbly and vicious valley! It was a fantastic experience. The staff were very friendly and polite, set us up with bikes and equipment, gave us instructions and answered all our questions, even my curiosity ones like “what bike do you own”. Really nice people. The uplift guys were also helpful apart from one that would give instructions but didn't help my wife lift her bike up, even though she is petite and he was a big guy. I understand that they cant lift all bikes but it doesn’t hurt to be nice and help someone that clearly struggles to lift their bike. I fell that this has to do with that one person though as the rest of the guys were great and I would not hold this against Bike Park. Since we are beginners we only rode the Kermit green trail, and it was great. It took us around 20 minutes to descend, including one stop. It had many spots you can stop which makes it easier to follow the etiquette of not stopping on the trail (as a beginner I did feel the need to stop one or two times per descent). Apart from the pleasant staff and the very organised park, the scenery around the trail was stunning. Will definitely go back. We are looking for our new bikes now, and will definitely revisit. - James Cochlin 14/07/2025My son and I love BPW the place is brilliant, uplift runs like clockwork, trails are amazing and the visitor centre set-up is excellent. Food is reasonably priced and a very good quality. My only negative is the price for juniors, having to pay over £100 for a day out with an 11 year old is difficult and if you don't book a full day online you run the risk of not being able to pay as you ride when you arrive as it may be fully booked. It would be great and beneficial to the sport if children under 16 were at a discounted rate as it's a very expensive day out when paying for 2 passes and maybe only doing 4 or 5 runs. It was my grandson's (15) first visit and he loved it. We got nine uplifts and plus my son, we had a blast. The trails were very dry but a little loose in places but none of us had an off on the blues and reds that we rode. Oh, and Kermit, which is a lovely flowy trail despite being a Green. In all, For me, it was the best day yet at BPW. All your efforts seem to be on building new 'difficult' trails. I know that these are popular but it would be nice to seen some new Blues as well.read moreread lesslee ticehurst 14/07/2025Great bike park but customer service is lacking. Booked 2 uplifts a while back, went to book 2 bike 2 days before we were booked to ride, put 2 bikes in the basket but then decided we wanted to pay seperately. Clicked back booked and paid for one then returned and no bikes available, emailed them and then called in the morning to be advised couldn't do anything and no refunds as now within the 48hrs. Had a bad experiance last time we rode there. Will go again as the riding is so good but won't expect any help from the customer service =(read moreread less

- Francesca Charlton 13/07/2025Had a great morning on the women’s improver course. Griff is a great coach who quickly differentiates training for the riders. Easy to remember phrases, patience and repetitions helped my confidence and in turn my riding - with lots of laughs thrown in. All the staff are friendly and helpful from checking in, the cafe and the uplift crew. Everyone makes you feel welcome. After my training session in the morning I did more runs in the afternoon with some of my best riding, totally buzzing!read moreread lessLee Ogram 13/07/2025Biking - good Biking downhill - Good Biking uphill - Bad Uplift to stop biking uphill - Good Bike Park Wales - Legendaryread moreread less
- Steven Cowcher 12/07/2025Great park and riding. Staff friendly helpful. Regular uplifts. One downside is there is literally one toilet in the men’s and one shower. - G “The Guide” L 12/07/2025Great bike park, good variety of trails for all levels, even when full at weekends little to no waiting time at the up lift shuttles, friendly staff and great playlist at the centre. Loved it!read moreread lessNatalie McLean 11/07/2025Very disappointed with the customer service of returning customers. I had two days booked at BPW and unfortunately just before we left my father past away. We went anyway. I soon realised when I got there I was not in the right place to be hurling down a hill at high speed and far too emotional to be riding. I asked for my two lots of tickets to be rescheduled (we had spent £240 pounds on two days for me and my husband ) and explained what had happened to be told on a personal level the manager totally understood but on a business level he wouldn’t be able to sell those tickets with a loss to the park. Eventually he agreed to move one ticket. It’s definitely not the way to keep customers coming back and I am really disappointed and saddened by the direction of the park which seems to be turning margin before customer care.read moreread less
About
BikePark Wales was born from a passion to create the best mountain bike facility in the UK, the UK’s first full scale bike park to rival the best in the World. The BikePark Wales team have slaved day and night for 5 years to create this incredible facility. BikePark Wales is built for riders, by riders.
For intermediate mountain bikers through to seasoned downhill pro’s, BikePark Wales will offer you an incredible biking experience unlike anything you have experienced in the UK before. We even have a 1KM green run for beginners and can offer coaching sessions for riders at any level. The concept is simple, picture a ski resort, remove the snow and replace the pistes with an array of sweeping flowy bike trails meandering to the bottom of the mountain and you are close. Add a bunch of adrenalin and big sprinkle of fun and you are pretty much there. BikePark Wales is an exhilarating way to spend your day in the Welsh mountains. Our series of lift assisted trails for riders of all abilities offer the ultimate riding experience. With a mix of incredible all weather roller coaster trails and some of the best natural Singletrack the UK has to offer, we challenge you to control the silly grin on your face at the bottom of each run. Uplift: Our fleet of mini buses will transport you quickly, safely and comfortably to 491m, the top of our mountain, Myndd Gethin. You will be dropped off at the very top of the hill right next to the start of our trails. All that remains to do is select your route and whoop and holler your way back to the bottom of the mountain in time to catch the next lift up. If you would rather not use our uplift and you feel up to the challenge we also have a Singletrack climb so you can pedal your way to the top of the hill before choosing your route down.WHY PAY TO RIDE?
BikePark Wales is a unique mountain biking venue. We are the first place in the UK to have a full time crew looking after our trails and ensuring they are kept in great condition for your riding pleasure. BikePark Wales will also never be finished, we will continually re-invest in the park and create new sections of trail for your enjoyment. Our aim is to always be one of the best mountain biking destinations in the World, a must visit spot for all mountain bikers. Your entry fee will help us maintain and grow our trail network for years to come. Any rider caught trespassing on the trails without a valid pass will be fined on the spot, this will be enforced by our marshalls. Please play fair and help us grow the venue for everyone to enjoy.COMPANY VALUES

Uplift
Our bus uplift fleet will transport you to the Summit of Mynydd Gethin at 491 metres elevation so you can enjoy the amazing variety of world class descending trails we offer. Simply select the day you wish to visit and follow the simple process to purchase your day pass, we strongly recommend pre-booking as day passes are seldom available on-spec. By purchasing an uplift day pass (price includes park entry) you have access to the uplift service for the duration of your visit and are able to use the uplift service as many times as you wish to maximise fun on the trails. Typically day pass riders are able to complete 10+ runs in a day giving them as much as 3,000 vertical metres of downhill single track heaven. If you are unable to pre-book your day pass you can arrive on a day of your choice and purchase a pedal pass and use the uplift on a pay as you go basis. Please note that pay as you go riders will only be able to get onto the uplift service when a seat becomes available. As a result, waiting times will vary depending on how busy the system is. Please remember that children aged 16 years and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times (including on the trails and on the uplift), no adult, no ride, no refund! If a booking is made for a person under the age of 17 you must notify BikePark Wales as soon as you book, notifying us of who will be accompanying them. There are no refunds if you turn up alone. Please note any bike with a tyre wider then 2.75″ will not fit onto our uplift trailers. Our trailers have been adapted to take childrens bikes with wheels 14 inches in diameter and larger. Please provide a valid mobile phone number when booking as we will need this to contact via mass text you if we have to close the park due to extreme weather conditionsPhotos
