Peter 12/10/2026Took my son for a day and had a great, if very tiring, time. My 15 year old goes mountain biking regularly and has been wanting to go to BPW for a while so I agreed to take, only problem is I haven't mountain bike for about 30 years!We hired bikes and protection from BPW, the chap setting up the bikes was very proficient and even laughed at my dad jokes. We also had uplift passes for the day, absolutely worth it as it gave me some respite from hurtling down the tracks! The staffon the uplift were also very patient and were always on hand if anyone had issues getting the bikes on or off.We got through all the blues trails which were a really good variety of flow and tech, some more demanding than others, and thankfully ending the day unscathed.We'll be back although I am looking forward to when my son can ride the trails by himself...read moreread less

Robert Bowditch 25/09/2026As I didn't do some basic bike maintenance before visiting, I found out the morning of my visit that my suspension was on the fritz.I took it to the on site shop, they diagnosed and fixed the not insignificant problem in quick time and for a better rate than most local bike shops do and I was on my way. Really helpful knowledgeable staff, thanks.The trails are incredible, from intro trails to intense gnarly steep tech to massive jump lines. The jumps are so well built and designed that I was able to easily build confidence through a few trails, and progressed from small jumps to massive boosters in the space of an afternoon.Great cafe, great setup for bike maintenance and washing and the uplift is super efficient. Some of the vans even had Aircon!Smiles for days from visiting, as well as every little helpful feature you could think of to make a great day of riding for me and my brother.read moreread less

Megaret Tannett 19/09/2026I havent been yet... hopefully its good... the policy for cancellation and refund is completely unforgiving.Be aware and careful that if you have anything go wrong inside of 48hours before your trip for any reason they will not accommodate you at all. No refunds, no ability to reschedule.... nothing.It makes me not feel that great about my upcoming trip and ill be less likely to book in the future knowing theres no reasonable accommodations available in case of genuine circumstances.You're just out of luck and out of a lot of money... not great.read moreread less

This was the first time here, but won’t be the last, the trails are amazing and so varied with options for all sorts of riders.We cannot fault anything the park do; the check in, uplift, cafe, shop and staff were all top notch, and the pizza was amazing after a long day riding.The slick uplift service and friendly crew was great and just added even more to the experience.read moreread less

John Willcox 05/08/2026Love BPW, but be warned, if you have a gift voucher make sure you use it before it expires. Most would say 'that's your own fault' and they would be right. Sadly mine had lapsed by two weeks, I asked if there was any chance it could be extended, the very polite and courteous reply was a hard no (all in accordance with the T's & C's). Ok, so my mistake, I'll get over it but BPW should be under no illusion of the bad feeling this intractable stance can engender for the sake of a few key strokes. A little good will goes a long way. Duff Battye 27/07/2026Weird one. Was given a number to call Bikepark wales to try and cancel a day. The individual I spoke to said he was from Bikepark wales and confirmed cancellation. It turned out he wasn’t part of Bikepark wales - so weird. I called Bikepark wales and sent them the what’s app exchanges and guys number. I wanted to know if they could do anything. They replied no voucher or refund as the bike I had hired had been serviced and couldn’t be used. Issue is I hadn’t booked a bike!l - only uplift and protection. So they basically said no without even checking what I’d booked. Honestly it’s pretty lame they couldn’t just give me a voucher as I had the what’s app exchange with this mentalist showing he confirmed cancellation. I get not their fault but kind of not mine either! But worse was they didn’t even check my actual booking. Very poor.read moreread less

From the moment you arrive, you can tell it’s been built by people who genuinely understand mountain biking and know exactly what riders want.The trails are fantastic, with a great mix of terrain, features and difficulty levels, so there’s something to keep you challenged whether you’re relatively new to mountain biking or a more experienced rider. The whole place is incredibly well thought out, and there’s a real buzz around the park that makes you want to get back on the uplift and go again!The uplift service makes such a difference too — being able to get straight back to the top and spend your day riding rather than grinding up the hill means you can make the most of every minute.The facilities, organisation and staff are all excellent, and the atmosphere is exactly what you want from a proper bike park. It’s also one of those places where you can go with mates and everyone can have an amazing day, regardless of which trails they prefer.If you’re into mountain biking and you haven’t been to BikePark Wales yet, put it on your list. Bear in mind this was a Friday booking and it was not full. All it would have cost them is 30 seconds of admin.Why they feel the need to be so awkward / abrasive with their customers I do not know.Corporate greed perhaps?Either way they have now lost a customer and I will inevitably voice my experience moving forwards.read moreread less

She said, the beginner trails and instructior were very good.By the way she is 65 years old, and slightly mad.While I was waiting i sampled the food and coffee, which was good and not overpriced. There are lots of places to sit, inside or out.The saff are friendly and helpful, which seems to be normal in Wales.I don't think this will be the last time she goes, but I won't be riding with her.A cup of coffee will do me.read moreread less

I know I'll have plenty of variety and fun .Had a 3 day booked and crashed on the first day with a rather uncomfortable slice to my middle finger . Nick Mowat 07/07/2026I’ve tried to be fair and constructive here, and perhaps my opinion will change once we’ve actually visited as the riding itself looks fantastic.Just a word of caution for any first-time visitors booking uplift bundles — make sure you fully understand exactly what you’re buying.I booked a trip for myself and my 12-year-old son and purchased a 6-pass weekday uplift bundle, assuming this could be used across the two of us for our visit. It turns out the bundle is for one named rider only and cannot be shared. That detail was in the terms, so I accept I missed it, but as someone new to the booking system it was an easy mistake to make.I contacted them to explain and asked if the unused passes could be refunded so I could simply purchase the correct passes for both of us. Unfortunately, although I was outside the 14-day refund window by just one day, our actual trip isn’t until August and none of the uplift passes had been booked or used, but no flexibility or goodwill could be offered.As a result, our father-and-son riding trip has ended up costing £428 in uplift passes alone.Hopefully the park lives up to its reputation and we still have a brilliant few days riding, but it has definitely taken some shine off the experience before we’ve even arrived.Lesson learned — check everything carefully before clicking buy.read moreread less
Mikey BikeyWikey 05/07/2026Okay good stuff first, every member of staff we had contact with was polite and happy.Lots of parking easy check in.The riding was amazing, I'm just a cross country rider, but by the end of the day I was trying out reds and getting the world's smallest air but loving every minute, the berms on some of the tracks are a thing of beauty and so much fun to ride, by the end of the day my ability had improved and confidence increased.Bad points I was absolutely exhausted from riding all day and had to go home.Highly recommended what a day.read moreread less

Christopher Pogue 26/06/2026Based out of New England, and primarily ride XC in MA amd VT. Tried pure downhill at lLets Gets, France and got hooked. Bike Park Wales is next level fun.Well designed top to bottom. It runs like a well oiled machine even during a heatwave. The diversity of trails is impressive, and the use of Qualifier elements to start a run is super nice when dropping in for the first time.The bike hire was spot on, and the breaks were ready to go EU/USA standard. Full face helmets were in solid order and clearly deep cleaned each night.MTB can be dangerous and there was an evacuation on one day we were there. It was frankly the most amazing response to a bad situation I've ever seen anywhere on a forrested mountain. The park closed the run, and had emergency crew in place super quickly, including offroad vehicles and a helicopter. The emphasis on protecting guests to the mountain was clear and very reassuring. There are many break areas along the trails and signage about reminding riders to take is slow so they can be fit to ride tomorrow. They were such a great crew all day and we all had a good giggle all day and tbey were all so helpful and welcoming (every time we saw them).Trails are also fab as always such a variety for every level and so many to choose from. Even the blues are super fun. One of the trail crew (was in a digger) was also fab on Monday when i got slightly stuck upside down in a bush on truegrit. Cas B 31/05/2026Joined a beginners mointain biking day course and kept a big secret...I havent ridden any type of push bike for 14 long years. I also cannot walk in a straight line or stand still without falling over (you think thats a joke, but its really really not)I finished the day with no falls or injuries and feeling like I might actually be a cool person trapped inside a small unbalanced body.Coach Colin was brilliant! He had all our backs, has the patience of a saint and made us feel super comfortable at being beginners in an area and hobby that has highly inflated egos that could potentially have you feeling annoying to those around you! He also liked pointing out to us that the people whizzing round that think they are super cool pros are in fact, not that at all. We had a really fun time and I came away wanting to play again and maybe try out for the Olympics soon.read moreread less

All kit was included including protection and bikes (and it was clean).Started at 9am and finished by 1.30. 8 of us in the group with two instructors. Lead instructor was called Colin and he was brilliant and the support instructor (Hugh?) was also good with plenty of advice.We weren't really sure what to expect but we learned so much about mountain biking more safely and with more confidence.The park is so well resourced and they clearly continue to reinvest....the whole set up reminded us of skiing resorts with the logistics, the different graded runs and medical support if you need it. The main building is well laid out and some good food options.Definitely recommend!read moreread less

Ashley Hodson 21/05/2026What a place to ride!!!We stayed locally to ride for a couple of days and had a brilliant time.The trails are more than i expected, loads of time and effort has been put into the trail design and it really pays off with loads of rewards for bravery.I visited with my son and we are not vastly experienced but even we had loads of progression through the trails .The uplift is a standard service taking loads of pressure off to complete runs quickly and this means you can take your time on the Hill.The skills area in the quarry was great to spend some time and it was helpful to try some different features without committing to a trail to learn.Well worth a visit 10/10.Cafe is expensive and roughly £25-£30 for two meals with drinks at lunch time.Card only site - didn’t take cash and that for me is the only downside.read moreread less

chris black 13/05/2026We have just spent 3 incredible days at Bike Park Wales and on our 8.5 hour drive back home both agreed that it ranks as one of the best mountain biking trips we have done. In the case of the build and maintenance of the trails, the variety and quality of the runs, the organisation of the uplift and the overall visitor experience BPW is in a league of it's own. We would go as far as to rank it above the Alps for mountain biking!We could not fault anything about the park and the friendliness of the staff we interacted with. The uplift drivers and crew were excellent and definitely contributed to our experience. We are already planning to return as even in 3 days it was difficult to ride every trail we wanted to, such is the number available and the desire to ride many of them more than once. I don't know why it took us so long to come to BPW but we definitely won't leave it long until we return.read moreread less

Even on a sold out Sunday there were no queues for the uplifts - always several buses loading simultaneously - very professionally run. Large’ish queue at lunchtime for food/coffee (no queues for food apart lunchtime) - factor in 30-40 mins to queue and get food on busy weekends (or bring your own). Food very reasonably prices in my view. Bike shop is pretty uninspiring but who cares. Good range of rider abilities so if you’re a rookie or intermediate rider you definitely won’t feel out of place. Strongly recommend. Will be back.read moreread less

Neville Casnello 27/04/2026don't delay, book today. BPW is like a well oiled machine, I wish all business's ran like this. From the moment you park your car, you can feel the positive vibes off everyone, the visitors, the staff. The staff must all be well paid and looked after because everyone of them is friendly and will go the extra mile to make you feel safe, and welcome. The uplifts run like clockwork, with workstations with tools and tyre pumps. Then at the top there are so many trails to suit every kind of rider. I like fast and smooth, so sixtapod is my favourite, the new double barrel is fun and stretches you comfort zone (well it did mine) A fantastic day out, worth every penny. I nearly forgot the food at the cafe, I had a ride all day poke bowl with fried halloumi, oh my, it was absolutely delicious. 10/10 for everything. Scravid Guy 27/04/2026I booked my daughter and I onto the Ticket 2 Ride experience at BikePark Wales and what an amazing experience it was!We are both mountain bikers, but neither of us have really had any proper technique tutelage. My daughter has never been to a proper bike park before either, so this seemed a great option for us.We were lucky enough to get the lead beginner coach leading our session who was absolutely brilliant. Colin gave patient and in-depth guidance about each type of feature we would encounter on the route and gave individual feedback to help improve our technique as we went. Our group had a good mix of folks from people who had barely ridden a bike before to ourselves who were a little more seasoned, but Colin had no issue in working closely with us all.The trail was awesome with for learners with nothing to cause even the most timid beginner any concerns. Having all the padding and full-face helmets also provided good reassurance.The place was absolutely rammed with hardcore bikers everywhere, but we encountered almost no-one else on our trail and had no issue with any other riders.The whole group had an awesome time (6 of us in total) and I am confident that we're all better mountain bikers for the experience.Thank you again to Colin - what a legend!read moreread less

It was hard work at times and we did two runs of 5k each but it was a great day. Colin the instructor was awesome and about my age too. If you’re in your sixties and active, you can do this. Green trial great to build confidance, and vareity of blues to try, as we built up confidance. Reds etc look like a great challenge for future. Uplift transport fast, equipment good quality and minimal waiting around.All staff are helpful and friendly, the drivers and bike hire staff, make you feel at ease and help you find your way. Good cafe and outdoor seating for wife and dog that did not bike.Only recommendation is to add more staff on coffee machines at lunch time.read moreread less

J B 07/04/2026Went away for a log cabin break near Merthyr Tydfil, took our bikes on the bike rack with the hope of going on some trails. Upon arrival we searched for near by runs and came across Bike Park Wales, jumped on their website and was blown away! Booked 2 uplift passes for my son and I, and went the next morning early. Just to put things into perspective, I'm early 50s and my son is 12, we both ride hard tail MTBs so initially a bit worried how they would perform but they handled it well. The park is VERY well organised, it has everything you need for a whole day of downhill, tool stations, cafe with great food, great shop, and absolutely amazing runs, too many to fit it to one day. We went down Kermit (green) twice then progressed to the blue runs. I have to say, I felt like a kid again, I really pushed it, my lad loved every minute, we can not wait to go back in the summer, we have already planned a full week of it! Utter madness, Oh, and we are upgrading our bikes to full suspension for our return so we can push it harder. If you get the chance, go, it really is a complete pleasure, still buzzing 3 days later! A couple of things to consider, the cafe feels limited in comparison to the size of the park. Also the quarry skills area is underwhelming. Our series of lift assisted trails for riders of all abilities offer the ultimate riding experience. With a mix of incredible all weather roller coaster trails and some of the best natural Singletrack the UK has to offer, we challenge you to control the silly grin on your face at the bottom of each run. Uplift: Our fleet of mini buses will transport you quickly, safely and comfortably to 491m, the top of our mountain, Myndd Gethin. You will be dropped off at the very top of the hill right next to the start of our trails. All that remains to do is select your route and whoop and holler your way back to the bottom of the mountain in time to catch the next lift up. If you would rather not use our uplift and you feel up to the challenge we also have a Singletrack climb so you can pedal your way to the top of the hill before choosing your route down.WHY PAY TO RIDE?

Uplift
Our bus uplift fleet will transport you to the Summit of Mynydd Gethin at 491 metres elevation so you can enjoy the amazing variety of world class descending trails we offer. Simply select the day you wish to visit and follow the simple process to purchase your day pass, we strongly recommend pre-booking as day passes are seldom available on-spec. By purchasing an uplift day pass (price includes park entry) you have access to the uplift service for the duration of your visit and are able to use the uplift service as many times as you wish to maximise fun on the trails. Typically day pass riders are able to complete 10+ runs in a day giving them as much as 3,000 vertical metres of downhill single track heaven. If you are unable to pre-book your day pass you can arrive on a day of your choice and purchase a pedal pass and use the uplift on a pay as you go basis. Please note that pay as you go riders will only be able to get onto the uplift service when a seat becomes available. As a result, waiting times will vary depending on how busy the system is. Please remember that children aged 16 years and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times (including on the trails and on the uplift), no adult, no ride, no refund! If a booking is made for a person under the age of 17 you must notify BikePark Wales as soon as you book, notifying us of who will be accompanying them. There are no refunds if you turn up alone. Please note any bike with a tyre wider then 2.75″ will not fit onto our uplift trailers. Our trailers have been adapted to take childrens bikes with wheels 14 inches in diameter and larger. Please provide a valid mobile phone number when booking as we will need this to contact via mass text you if we have to close the park due to extreme weather conditionsPhotos
