Amazing place, very homely and close to stunning walks. Pubs lovely and fab food. Would recommend and go back back to waterfall Lodge again 🤩

Peter and Lydia were great hosts and very responsive. The location was perfect and everything local was amazing. The house was spacious and very clean for 4 adults. We felt at home, and the basics were provided. A stones throw away from some lovely local pubs, which I recommend booking to avoid disappointment. The Gwladys pub/restaurant was a stand out place which is a 10 min walk from the house. Parking available just outside the house.

What a lucky find, we absolutely loved our stay… definitely wished we had longer… I guess we will just have to book another stay! 🙂

Fantastic Locations for the local waterfall trails and also for the Four waterfall trail thats just an 8 min car journey away, Peter and Lydia went above and beyond for us with there communication after we had to abandon our campsite in Rhossili due to really high winds and rain, they recommended a near by Bunkhouse which was perfect and messaged us early on the Friday to say the Airbnb was ready before the normal check in time, we cant thank them enough for this! Super Hosts and a lovely house to stay in.

Good vacation home with two bathrooms. What a luxury. Although it is near a busy tourist area (starting point for hikes and other outdoor activities), the house itself is in a quiet area. So quite ideal actually.

Perfect location to explore South Wales; the 4-Waterfalls trek, Zip World and Big Pit coal mine.
The house was very comfortable and spacious, very clean and well furnished.

We had an amazing stay . Perfectly situated to explore waterfall country and all it had to offer .
The cottage was clean , cosy and was great to come back to and relax after a day of exploring .

We had a great stay in a great location with beautiful surroundings. Good view outside in the car park area of the forestry and mountains. In terms of inside more utilities may have been a bit better, but not too much to worry about.

We had a fantastic stay here. The place was in the perfect location for everything we had planned and was right on the doorstep of a gorgeous waterfall walk. Everything was comfy and the place was lovely and clean. Great communication with Peter and very easy check in. would definitely reccomended and stay again!

Good sized place with lots of facilities. The location was great, with several good pubs within walking distance, and close to the waterfalls.
The beds weren't overly comfortable, but did the job.

Great location for exploring the incredible waterfalls the area is renowned for. We enjoyed our stay.

High quality fuss free, clean accomodation, as per description. Perfect base for exploring the Beacons, (as for the four waterfalls walk, we've done it from the doorstep).Accessible yet peaceful, with only the hum of the nearby stream and waking up to nothing but birds' dawn chorus. Useful local information supplied and the hosts had been available and responsive.

Lovely place and Peter was a very helpful host, proactive in giving useful instructions. Self-checkin with a lockbox is straightforward. House is generally well-equipped and has a modern feel.
A bit cosy for 6 people but in a lovely, easily-accessible location. We really enjoyed our stay!

Such an amazing place to stay honestly. The host was very accommodating and we actually managed to turn up a little early so the host allowed us to check in early with no hassle what so ever.

The place itself was clean and tidy, and having the window open at night you could hear the sound of the local waterfalls, so very peaceful.

We will definitely be staying again in future.

Great location for walking to local waterfalls, and enough amenities nearby (driveable) such as shops, pubs and takeaways. House was as described and host was very helpful with arranging an earlier check in for us.

It was an amazing holiday in the most amazing property at the bottom of walk. Would recommend walking boots if you start 😀 - The location of the property was perfect. The bed were comfy which meant a good sleep all round. The heating system was spot on especially after a cold day. 😞 - We struggled to get a full bath of hot water, which after a day of walking and rain, hail and snow was a little disappointing but wouldn’t deter us from staying again.

took me 20 mins to figure how to put the hob on.
many things running on wifi which is constantly on.
could hardly sleep for first 3 days until a friend sent me an emf shielding blanket, then I sleept fine

The weather was amazing, 11 days of dry weather, with full sun for 5 days.

No washing machine or 'muck room' so maybe something to consider if it's raining.

All in all I absolutely Loved it and would definitely come again

Waterfall Lodge is a very relaxing, homely, cosy place to stay. It feels very spacious and it was spotless when we arrived. We stayed in December for New Year's and it proved to be the perfect winter getaway! We spent the days on scenic local walks (would recommend the 4 Waterfall Walk - 10 min drive to car park; and the Llyn y Fan Fach - about 55min drive) and the evenings in a cosy pub (there are a couple in the village a 10 min walk away). There's also a handy co-op shop in the nearby village. Coming home to this cottage was always lovely. It was warm (great central heating!) and the additional wood-burning stove made it extra special. We would highly recommend this place for all seasons! Peter and Lydia were super helpful and friendly. Thank you for a great stay!

Lovely peaceful place to stay with our two children age 7 and 10. It was only a short walk down to the river which the kids loved and didn’t want to leave! We arrived early in the pouring rain and ended up in the Angel for an unplanned pub lunch - they were very welcoming and the food was good proper ‘pub’ food. There are several walks for a range of abilities direct from the cottage, and it was a lovely base to come back to at the end of the day. The village hall also does decent breakfast baps 🙂

We had an amazing time here and will be recommending to our family and friends we would love to return! 😀 - Very clean, spacious and comfortable the property had everything to make our stay perfect. We absolutely loved the location! Great scenic walks, near to beautiful waterfalls and good access to beaches with our car. My friend and I Really enjoyed staying at the lodge. It’s is a very quiet and peaceful place to stay. So easy to find and park . Their are so many Beautiful walks on the doorstep and down the road to see the wonderful waterfalls.
A couple of lovely pubs about 10 minutes walk. Both were really friendly and food was lovely.
Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent cottage in quiet location. 😀 - Very comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean. Very well equipped with everything needed. True home from home experience. Loved the woodburner. Lovely peace and quiet. Slept better than at home ! 😞 - If I had to think of one thing, the double bed was very comfortable but very low indeed to the ground which would be difficult for less able people.

Waterfall Lodge was a great base for our weekend of walks in waterfall country. There were six of us and we didn’t feel too squeezed in. The facilities were all fine and as described. We found the place clean and uncluttered. We didn’t have any direct contact withPeter but didn’t need to as he’d sent clear and comprehensive instructions for everything we needed. Thanks very much Peter!

Nice place, clean and great location for the waterfall hike.

This is such a lovely place from which to explore Waterfall Country. There are some beautiful walks right nearby. The area is lovely and quiet - it's not that evident from the photos but it's in a little neighbourhood of houses that look almost like an older residents neighbourhood, so please don't go if you want to have loud parties. It's so peaceful we could hear the sound of water and the birds. The house is lovely and cosy with a good shower. The beds are comfy and we slept well. Within walking distance, there are 3 pubs (we tried 2 of them) which both served decent pub food. I'd definitely come back and stay again and would recommend to others. It was a little hard to find in the dark, although once we'd located it, checking in was really easy with the lock box. Fab stay, thank you.

Lovely location, with waterfall trails on the doorstep and a short walk to a nice coffee shop and pubs. Waterfall lodge was as pictured, clean, good size and good amenities for self-catering.

Wow, what a beautiful, stunning and scenic place to stay. The house was lovely and cosy and we loved the bath especially after major walks. We were close to Zip world, national show caves and of course the waterfall walk. The pub and bistro just down the road was lovely, service and food was spot on. Thank you for being approachable and welcoming and offering your home to us. We loved our stay 😊

Lovely, clean and comfortable stay.
Hosts were accommodating, helpful and responsive. Clear instructions were given on arrival and checkout.
The surroundings of the cottage were beautiful. The waterfall walks and swim is a must. We will definitely be back, hopefully to try out some water sports.

Excellent place, brilliant communicator, definitely worth a stay!

The stay at the Waterfall Lodge was fine. The house is part of a housing complex but offers enough privacy with a small outdoor terrace in the front and back. All facilities are as described and clean. The living room and kitchen might be a bit small for 6 people (there are 6 beds). We were with 4 persons which is perfect for the place. It's located at the far end of a quiet village where some main hiking routes start. We stayed for 4 nights with two girls (7 & 5 years old) and wanted to hike to the waterfalls. though the path isn't always the easiest this was easily done from the Waterfall Lodge. The Show Caves I would recommend with children too. Other than that There isn't much for young children. I'd say if you've come to Wales for hiking and seeing the waterfalls this place is a perfect spot to stay.

Great place to stay, clean tidy and lots of space!
Location was 10/10 as there’s a walk on the doorstep and lots of other walks within 10/15 min drives so plenty to do over the week!
Tenby beach was an hour and abit drive but well worth it, lots of parking, lots of food, plenty of ice cream and the beach was immaculate and views was stunning would highly recommend a day visit!
Peter and partner couldn’t be faulted start to end, thank you.

waterfall Lodge is perfectly situated for walking and wild swimming. our days were packed and the scenery just kept giving. it was fantastic that we barely needed the car after arriving as the walks and swims we wanted to do were literally in the doorstep.
there are three lovely pubs on the doorstep too and the show caves were a short drive away.

Very helpful information on hand at the property. Owner great communication and flexible with check in. Clean and secure property. Will be back to explore some more.

Sadly, we had to leave a day early as our flights were changed.

Spent 4 nights at Waterfall Lodge and cannot fault the accommodation. Excellent location for our walking holiday and a choice of pubs within 15 mins walk for our evening meal and drinks. Everything we needed was on hand and very clean.

Lovely place to stay and could not be any closer to the waterfall walks in the area. House is clean with a cosy log fire and has a nice outdoor area to relax in. Would highly recommend 🙂

Incredible location with everything you need on your doorstep or just a short car journey away. We visited 8 of the 12 waterfalls but never did find the ‘secret one’. We packed in about 20 miles and we’re so lucky with the weather. Accommodation was comfy with a lovely fire and stunning photography on the walls.

Perfect location for exploring Waterfalls and local sites. The place matched well to description and is great for families or couples. Neighbours and locals very friendly.

Peter came over on the 2nd day to fix a small issue.
The accommodation was very clean and tidy. The bedrooms were comfortable and as the weather was not kind, we were glad of the fire to dry and warm ourselves after walks in the rain. Having two bathrooms was also a priority as a family of 5. The kitchen had the basic amenities and the hob and oven were well used for breakfast and brunch.
The property is well positioned for many of the waterfall walks and also close to some nice places to eat.
My husband and teenage boys went to Bike park Wales and enjoyed the biking.
I would 100% recommend this wonderful gem of a property.

Waterfall lodge certainty lived up to its name with direct access to wonderful waterfall walks in the area. Located in such a calming place, we certainly felt reconnected with nature and enjoyed all of the fresh air. We did a full range of local family activities - and were even lucky to see the sun too! Thoroughly recommend if you need to step away from busy life - and yet still have your home comforts. We had a great break - thanks Peter!

Had a lovely stay, property was spotless & had good facilities. The location was near some nice pubs, walks, shops. it wasn’t a lodge - rather a house in a small close. we had 6 adults and there was enough room in general, though the kitchen struggles to fit 6. wi-fi was okay, a bit slow. Unfortunately the smart TV wouldn’t connect or stay connected to the internet. The host was quick to respond but we couldn’t fix the issue. log fire was lovely, was great to have bags of wood available there, however some of the wood provided in these weren’t actually suitable for burning as they had varnish and wood glue which was disappointing especially for a place that is eco conscious. After I messaged about a question the price went up by £34 pounds a night (might be Airbnb). There was a helpful welcome package which was appreciated. The owner arrived before check out which was a bit disconcerting, would’ve been nicer if they had arrived after, though they were friendly. Check in was good.

The neighbourhood was really beautiful and the flat was super clean and comfortable. Had a wonderful stay and would certainly stay again

My wife and I stayed at Waterfall Lodge over October half term with our 3 kids. The place was clean, comfortable and a great location for walking and pub grub. We were especially grateful for the essentials after a long journey there and the wood burner after a long day walking. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect place for exploring the waterfalls and within easy driving distance to great hikes and mountains. We ate at the three nearest pubs, all very nice. The house is super clean and Peter was very fast to respond to any questions we had. Highly recommend!

Great location for the waterfall trails in the Brecon Beacons. Lovely cottage with modern and comfortable furnishings. Communication with the owner was great. Would recommend as a place to stay.

Clean & tidy house with plenty of space.

This is a brilliant place and made even better by the location. Based in a quiet village, it is close to many of the different walks and waterfalls. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was great and there was plenty of space for us as a family of 5. Peter was also available to answer any questions we had.

The house is well-maintained, decorated to a high standard and it is obvious that a lot of care and thought went into the home as there is everything one needs for a comfortable stay. Outdoor table and chairs both front and back so one can choose where to sit outside. Fully equipped kitchen with a dining table and chairs. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms. (Handy having one downstairs). Even a clothes horse/maiden for drying off our wet waterproofs after our only wet day!

The house is in an excellent location for the waterfalls and other tourist attractions.

Special shout out to the cleaners. The house was absolutely spotless!

We will highly recommend, and hope to stay with you again!

lovely cottage in a beautiful location 😀 - This was a beautiful location right in the heart of some lovely walks. House was newly decorated, clean and well appointed. 😞 - A neighbour was having some work done on their house so there was a lot of noise - drilling, planing wood etc but this can't be predicted or avoided.

A lovely house. Really comfy and clean and looks lovely too. We love the shower, great water pressure. At night you can see bats and hear the owls. Really good recycling in place. Kitchen is lovely, we cooked each night for the four of us. We went to the Old White Horse Inn great food, massive portions! The house is within easy reach of the waterfalls and other walks and it’s easy to get to other attractions too. Enjoy!

Location for what we planned, waterfalls and walking, was excellent 😞 - Light switch in bathroom needs attention. Wet room a bit quirky as once used it's not convenient to use loo or sink until floor dries, but for a couple that doesn't matter

Wonderful location. Comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. Lovely bath and shower which were enjoyed after our days out hiking. Very smooth check in and out. The angel was a nice local pub and a good place for breakfast or for tea and cake was opposite the angel pub in sgwd gwladys. Would recommend this accommodation.

This cottage is a great find - and makes the perfect base for exploring waterfall country and the beacons. We had a lovely time swimming at the nearby waterfall and climbing Pen Y Fan (as well as cooking and relaxing at the cottage itself). The cottage is clean and has everything you need. We had a pleasant stay at waterfall lodge, there are literally scenic footpaths and pubs on your doorstep! The house was well equipped, but wasn't a lodge as it was in a housing complex! Also the front room is next to the next door's bedroom so be aware of noise levels.

I don’t even know where to start with our wonderful trip… we’ve just left the lodge after a stay with my two best friends for our 40th birthdays… the lodge was perfect for our stay, it’s beautifully done inside and well equipped.. we visited the two local pubs and had dinner in the white horse twice and some lunch at the cafe opposite the angel… we did two walks the one that started right by the angel pub and the one opposite the lodge… we also visited zip world, Peterstone Court Spa and the National Caves… the lodge is in the best location to visit all these and more… I’d love to come back with my family and visit the area again… thanks so much Peter…

Great location, right in the middle of the waterfront countryside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would recommend the cafe down the road for a nice breakfast and post walk cake!

Waterfall Lodge is a nice surprise. Looks small on the outside but spacious and beautifully modern on the inside. Very clean. Comfortable beds. The kitchen is equipped well enough to make a cooked breakfast and heat up food. Don't try making a Sunday Roast...but why would you on a mini-break? Excellent walking right from the door so no need to use your car. Space outside for muddy boots and kit. I would definitely recommend Waterfall Lodge. Thank you to Peter.
