DescriptionA spacious contemporary cottage located in the heart of the beautiful Swansea valley near rivers, traffic free cycling, forests, canals and waterfalls. Graig Cottage is dog friendly and ideal location between Gower and the Brecon Beacons. Nant cottage is next door, both cottages can be booked together for groups of up to 12.
A lovely cottage very well presented.we had a great week here and the outside area was beautifully thought out. Worth noting that there is only soft seating for 5 in the lounge . But didn't affect us as we were a party of 5. we certainly recommend this cottage.Jan 04/06/21
We had a great stay at Peter's cottage. It was warm, cosy and the wood burner was a lovely feature. Super easy to get going even without firelighters and threw out loads of heat. The wood store and honesty box was very handy. Peter was very responsive. We had a small problem with the dishwasher which he dealt with immediately. The cottage was also very clean and tidy. Location-wise it was also great - there was a pub 15 minutes walk up the road which we had a great meal in, and it was within ~1 hour's drive both to great walks in the Brecon Beacons and the beaches down on the Gower.Cecilia 26/09/20
Nice cottage, very handy location, nice and quiet but short drive one direction to the city and beaches etc, going the other way short drive to Brecon beacons, forests, waterfalls etcDan 14/09/20
Host quick to reply to questions and queries.
Great cottage, had everything you need, lovely, cosy and comfortable. The bath was lovely and great to have a downstairs wet room and toilet for us and the dogs. Close enough to the beautiful gower beaches, waterfall walk and lots of other places. The dogs had a lovely weekend, as dogs we! Thanks Peter, we will be coming back again 🙂Emma 07/09/20
Would definitely recommend staying here; well appointed cottage, very cosy and great to be able to bring the dogs. Lovely enclosed outdoor seating area.Kate 04/09/20
In terms of location there are fantastic attractions within 30-40 minutes drive in any direction- Brecon Beacons, waterfalls and the Gower coast.
Would highly recommend SGWD Gwladys coffee shop/restaurant near the 4 waterfalls walk (opposite the pub).
Great place and an ideal hub for exploring South Wales.Phill 07/08/20
Book it and enjoy.
Tasteful and comfortable: we had log fires each night, glorious baths and beautiful walks both from the door and after short drives to beautiful beaches. We travelled with a 17 year old who needed reliable WiFi (unusually to study each day!) and the place delivered. The weather was great too so we took advantage of the lovely outside space. Thanks for a great holiday.Rebecca 31/07/20
This is a beautiful cottage with everything you need for a comfortable, stress free stay. Its a stone`s throw from the village and we found all the locals helpful and friendly. Great location to visit The Gower and The Brecon Beacons.Sandra 02/03/20
Everything was sparkling clean, the cottage warm and cosy but definitely not small.
We would love to visit again.
Great place with good facilities. Location was good and we were a fairly easy drive to lots of south Wales. Host was very accommodating and quick to respond. Very happy to recommend!Abigail 23/02/20
We had high expectations for Graig Cottage and we were certainly not disappointed.Marc 22/10/19
Very lovely property which provided us with a comfortable base to visit family in the Neath and Dulais valleys. Knowing the area very well, it is well situated to be a great holiday base.
Graig Cottage is a lovely cottage in a very convenient location, the cottage is very modern but still retains its charm, we spent a long weekend there and would of loved to stay longer, its location is ideal for Pen y Fan and everything else in the Brecon Beacons as well as the Gower Peninsula, we certainly would love to return in the future.Kevin 16/09/19
A beautiful cottage in a lovely, quiet location. Lovely hearing the river too. The place is a lot bigger than it looks too! Very clean and some nice added touches. Lots of information on things to do. Beaches are an average of 30 mins away, with many to choose from. Quite a bit of traffic but that might have been due to bank holiday. We went mainly for the beaches thanks to the gorgeous weather but there are lots of walks and some right behind the house. Definitely a great place for walkers! A really lovely stay, the cottage was gorgeous.Jemma 27/08/19
Lovely well equipped cottage with all the information you need for day trips and activities, very comfortable stay and the views are lovely, I would highly recommend.Lloyd 19/08/19
What a great find! Everything about this cottage is fantastic, from the communication and location, to the well-stocked kitchen, super-comfy beds and soft towels and little touches like a welcome box, and tips for things to do in the area. Six of us stayed here with our two small daschunds and it was an ideal place for exploring the nearby waterfalls, caves and further afield, the Gower coastline. Make sure you go for dinner at the New Inn in Ystradfellte and The Butchers Arms in Alltwen - best pub food we've had in years!Nikki 04/08/19
A great holiday in a lovely home. Everything was clean and fresh, and the space is great. Lovely bathrooms and we enjoyed eating outdoors. The seating for meals is perfect. Highly recommended!James 15/07/19
We had a great stay at Peter's place. There was five of us in total and the cottage was a good size for us to spend a few days in. Well stocked kitchen, comfy beds and nice extra touches such as DVDs and games. This was a great base for exploring both the coast and valleys alike. There are also lots of resources in the cottage to help plan activities during your stay. Well worth spending a few days here.Jenny 24/06/19
Peter’s cottage is a perfect place to stay to explore the Brecon Beacons and beyond. The cottage was ideal for us and our dog. The cleanliness and extra touches of welcome box, dog bowel and information on the area were very welcome. Would definitely recommend a stay here.Sally 10/06/19
My Dad and I loved this cottage. Despite being renovated to a high standard it retained lots of original charm. Quirky furniture, very comfortable beds and bedding and a kitchen that was a joy to cook in!Nicola 03/06/19
Wonderful home. Would definitely stay here again. Was a unique cottage with a truly homey feeling. Peter was a thoughtful host who provided a great deal of information of the surrounding areas and things to do and all the little touches that make an air B and B stay better...lotions, Plastic wrap, tinfoil, paper towels, etc. Would highly recommend if one is going to the area.Victor 20/05/19
This is a lovely old cottage In a great location with plenty to do.Audrey 25/03/19
Key collection was easy, the cottage was spotless and it has a log fire which is lovely in the evenings when the temperature drops.
The Kitchen has everything you need for self catering and the shower is lovely.
A charming cottage on the outskirts of Pontardawe. The property has been well renovated and was very clean and warm. The small enclosed yard with the property was ideal for our dog and the bike store a helpful touch. Peter was an attentive host and the one issue we did raise was resolved quickly and courteously.Simon 19/02/19
The cottage is cosy and has everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay, there's lots of leaflets on things to do nearby or just put your feet up in front of the log fire and read a book! The kitchen is well equipped making it as enjoyable to eat in as well as go out. The whole place is truly a home from home.Natasha 21/01/19
We couldn’t have asked for a better base for exploring, than Peter’s charming cottage! The space inside and out was beautifully clean and cosy (the wood burner was well used after long days exploring the mountains and valleys! Our 2 dogs especially loved curling up in front of it!) Thoughtful touches such as local guide books and instructions were really beneficial! We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again when we are next in the area 🙂Alisa 03/01/19
Fantastic cosy cottage with great facilities and a warming log burner, constant supply of logs and fully equipped kitchen, convenient parking space and oodles of ideas and clear directions for local walks and attractions. Nice, friendly local pub a 15 minute walk away and small local shop for emergencies. Highly recommendVictoria 30/12/18
This place is fantastic for walkers wanting woodlands, waterfalls, beaches and mountains all on the doorstep. There are some really interesting local walks too if you don’t want to venture too far. The cottage is wonderful, clean and cosy. A very special place!Joanna 27/09/18
Charming little cottage for human friends and doggy friends. Superb wood burner, stylish and clean little holiday hideaway.Simon 16/09/18
We had a really wonderful stay at Graig cottage. It was lovely and cosy inside, but plenty of room for the 5 of us. It was perfectly clean and we had everything we needed. The garden area and front of the cottage is very pretty. We visited the Brecon Beacons and the Gower beaches which are just a short drive from the cottage. I would definitely stay here again and will be recommending to friends and family!Jen 12/08/18
A lovely well equipped cottage. This cottage had everything we needed for a short stay and was the perfect base to explore the surrounding areas. The outside eating space is an added bonus along with the bike store that we were able to use. The whole family (2 adults, 2 children and 1 dog) loved our stay and would definitely recommend the cottage.Rachel 07/08/18
Great location with Gower south and Brecon north. Lovely cottage, perfect for our family.Colin 31/07/18
Lovely, family friendly house. Lots of bedroom space, tv, 2 bathrooms (fabulous tub), big/well appointed kitchen, beautiful outdoor eating space, good parking for 2 small cars, & quiet neighbourhood. We visited Craig Y Nos (castle & grounds), Showcaves, Careg Cannen Castle, Woebly Castle, Caswell Bay beach (as recommended by the friendly neighbour across the street !), Mumbles & pier, and Henrhyd Falls hike (Batman cave !). A wonderful family holiday !Donna 08/07/18

Despite the rain we had a great time staying in the cottage. Lovely and clean and very comfortable. In a great location for some beautiful walks and scenery. The dogs enjoyed it just as much as we did. Would highly recommend this cottage.Louise 20/06/18
Such a lovely place! Excellent location, close to the Brecon Beacons and a scenic drive to the Gower. The house was surprisingly big, well equipped and immaculately clean. My friends and I stayed here over the May bank holiday weekend and were blessed with some beautiful weather. The outside area is quite the suntrap and we enjoyed a few sun-soaked breakfasts and took full advantage of alfresco dining in the evenings. All in all, would definitely recommend! Many thanks, Peter.Kat 07/05/18
Easy to check-in and out. The house was beautifully warm, very well equipped, beds incredibly comfortable, towels like new, lovely quiet situation. Peter had left lots of information about where to go with tips and advice which was incredibly useful and much appreciated. We have no complaints at all - far exceeded our expectations. We shall return.Sarah 31/10/17
