Great little place, a private space surrounded by greenery. There are some nice walks in walking distance from the cottage, and plenty more a short drive away. The patio is a lovely place to chill out with some food and drink, and the cottage has everything you need to relax inside if the weather turns. The hosts were quick to respond to any questions, and we had a great time.

Wow!We loved this place. It had (almost) everything we needed. The location was exceptional and it was warm and light and modern and also historic. Lovely outside area. A host that was available when I made a mistake and needed help. The kids loved it & I loved it. Amazing walks on the doorstep and a great surrounding area. Tesco up the road for big supplies too and not far to Swansea which was great when we needed a pharmacy on a Sunday!Things to note: no blinds in the second sleeping area, hard to unload and load car if you are the only adult and have two weeks of luggage and food - do not try driving closer as it is inaccessible. The parking is EXTREMELY close - just hard in my case. For most you won’t think twice. I would re visit again and again if I lived in the UK. Thank you so much!!

Lovely spacious and homely cottage in picturesque surroundings. Short drive to Swansea if required…
Unfortunately the typical British summertime including Storm Lillian hampered our opportunities to explore the nearby countryside, and to make use of the cottage’s el fresco facilities, however, we were very cosy inside and can certainly recommend sampling Welsh fish and chips!

We had a great stay, everything was as described with lots of helpful information on places to visit.
Peter was a perfect host, responsive and helpful when needed.
The cabin was exactly as described, clean and warm with everything we needed.
I would highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting the area.

Nice and peaceful location, in the lovely area in South Wales. Cute little cottage with basic amenities. Pontardowe town is a 5 min drive down the road with lots of little shops and cafes. I got a bit lost with the Parking, "approximately 150 meters up the hill" was a bit vague - perhaps a google maps link would make things easier!? Also I couldn't find instructions for the stove, although in the end google was able to help!! Thank you for the great stay!

Great stay for our visit to Wales, we had a small child and even though it was hilly, nearly everything was accessible and the surroundings were beautiful, definitely worth it. The space is private and located in the woods, the host was very responsive and helped us out of a jam within 5 minutes.

Das kleine Haus ist ruhig gelegen. Besonders gut hat uns gefallen, dass das Haus durch die vielen Fenster recht hell ist und das Schlafzimmer großzügig wirkt.
Wir fanden nur die Lage nicht ganz optimal, aber das war unsere Entscheidung. Vom Haus aus sind kleine Spaziergänge möglich. Für größere, interessante Wanderungen muss man immer fahren! Und auch der Weg in den Ort ( Geschäfte/ Pubs) ist mit 20 Minuten schon etwas lang.

It was a lovely location and a great spot if you want a secluded and private place but still want to be close enough to shops and others places you might need, it was very nicely decorated and had all the amenities you would need, nice selection of places to go and activities in the area. Overall it was a great place to stay and we would go back again!

A great home for the week within driving distance to all of South Wales beauty spots. Peter very kindly got the place ready for us to check in slightly earlier which was a great help. The place had everything we needed, and when we encountered a slight issue with the toaster, Peter had it resolved within the hour. We would definitely stay here again when we return for future visits to South Wales.

The cottage was cosy and comfortable. The environment was so serene with breathtaking views. We enjoyed our stay. I would recommend it to anyone.

Brilliant spot. A lot of thought had been put into the space. We really appreciated the wood/honesty box. The surrounds are absolutely beautiful - stunning walks and waterfalls. We loved just being surrounded by greenery. Peter and Lydia made the space so beautiful with more plants and flowers. We left feeling very relaxed and glad we drove nearly 6 hours to be there.

4 stars because the glasses weren't clean in the cupboard - tumblers and flutes. It took the magic away from popping the bubbly when we had to wash the flutes first... Disappointing given the £50 cleaning fee.

We had a great weekend break at Beili Glas. The cottage had everything we needed with plenty of space. It is set up on a hill overlooking the small town so was nice and peaceful. We weren't overlooked so it felt quite secluded. There are trails right from the doorstep and the surrounding area has a lot of beautiful places to visit one being the four falls trail. Close to Swansea where we enjoyed a day at the beach. The town has a range of independent shops and we had some lovely fish and chips from the Pontardawe Fish Bar. Peter was a good host and swiftly responsive when contacted. Overall a fantastic stay and would definitely stay at the cottage again.

The perfect peaceful private gateway! whether you want to go out about and fill your day with activities or just snuggle up inside the cottage and unwind completely! images matched the description, very clear instructions, easy access to the property (the walk up to it really isn't that bad at all!!)

Me & my partner spent 4 nights here and could not fault it, very easy to control the heating, the shower is amazing! Great pressure.

Perfectly functioning size kitchen, great fridge, nice & tidy!

Overall we had a great time and would consider staying here again in the future!

Such a lovely place to stay. Amazing views from the windows! Had everything we needed. Loved the log fire and it was nice we could buy logs straight from the owners. Very nice and quiet, had big waterfall straight right across the road. Lots of public walkways. Village in the walking distance, has shops and takeaways and coffee shops. Also found nice pub with the roaring fire. Amazing!

Lovely stay - lots of great walks and hikes in surrounding area. Perfect for anyone fond of outdoors and exploring. Great waterfalls too. Would recommend having a car to get to local spots. House was very clean and well equipped. Peaceful stay and would recommend! thanks

The cabin itself is lovely and as described. Not a complaint, however people should realise that it is not in the middle of a wood, as per one of the pictures. It's just off a lane. Perfectly quiet and it was the winter so no leaves on the trees which would have made it perfect once inside.
Of note, the wifi is not on site, but boosted from the main house next door. It did not work for us and we had to hotspot our own data. Peter tried to sort the issue and it was probably out of his hands. But those needing strong wifi, maybe writers etc, need to know they wont be able to rely on the wifi.
All in all we had a lovely stay and it is well worth the price. Hosts were responsive and friendly. The waterfalls were beautiful and only a short drive away.

Peter's cottage is situated in woodland with a tiny stream trickling by. Secluded and totally private. Before we arrived, we had really clear instructions on how to get there. The parking space is very close to the little path down to the house, all well signed. Peter goes the extra mile to show you where the local walks and attractions are: he is a fantastic advocate for South Wales and his website is full of recommendations.
The wood burner is a very welcome feature in the living room. I'm a bit of a wimpy urbanite and I felt the cold on arrival. Things warm up with a good fire and - in spite of the truly atrocious weather - we enjoyed some great evenings and dried out our very wet clothing from the walks we'd taken.
Pontardawe is a nice town with a lot to offer (including a ton of hairdressing salons!) and we took refuge from the rain in a super-friendly cafe called Frostys.

Lovely location set up on steep hillside hence you get amazing views & a wonderful feeling of remoteness even though you’re nice & close to the village & subsequent road networks. Real log wood burner heated the living space quickly & invitingly & felt great to be around! Good location to multiple activities/places to visit (amazing caves/beach/castles) will return!

We had a lovely stay at Peter’s place. It was a nice little place with all the amenities mentioned in the description. It’s a little far from the coast and all the great beaches but we knew that before booking so I would recommend having a car. Will definitely be staying here again!

Very nice rural cottage, clean and tidy upon arrival, lovely wet room with underfloor heating, very quiet for a good night sleep, log burner on for a nice cwtch in the evening, a few little things I would add if it was mine is a microwave food cover, first aid kit, scissors, and not very good for elderly people as the car park is 200 meters away and very hilly, tried to drive our car up to the cottage to offload our clothes and food ect but unfortunately our car would not go up as it is wet and very steep. had to carry all our things up and down to cottage.

beili glas cottage was a lovely comfortable place to stay. weather was very wet so although we went to see henrydd waterfalls we were a bit limited with what else we could do. We made great use of the board games and also all the things offered on the TV. Cottage was spotless on arrival. would be a problem if you had mobility issues as cottage was on a very steep road. We had a really relaxed weekend and attempted the beautiful walks around the cottage (although the weather had other ideas!!!). lovely weekend, would definitely recommend as a relaxing getaway. The cottage was beautiful and was in a ideal place to do all the local attractions. The local town is just a short walk away the the people were very welcoming. We eat out twice and the restaurant's were good . I would very much recommend this cottage we couldn't fault it at all

Great accommodation for nature lovers, clean and cosy. Good location, about 30 mins to the beach, mountains, caves, waterfalls etc.

we had a great stay arthe Cortage! Everything was clean and organised and we loved the whole place.

Peter was very helpful and responsive when we needed and the whole service was very good.

The cottage is located in a very peaceful and quite area and there's a lot of nice things to do on a 10 to 15 mile radius. Nice beaches, waterfalls, restaurants, etc.

Lovely stay in a hidden getaway 😀 - The whole cabin was excellent, great layout, lovely bedroom and hot shower. Welcome biscuits, tea and coffee provided. Really enjoyed the outlook from the bedroom in the mornings. We were able to walk into town quite easily without using our car. There were some lovely touches in the cabin. 😞 - Was quite chilly, definitely worth using the log burner if you can. There's a radiator in the lounge and bedroom but if it's chilly it doesn't really warm up very well. There's a steep walk to the cabin (we left our car in the car park above the cabin for most of our stay) so walked up and down the hill when we were there. Fine for us but you do need to be able to cope with a steep hill.

A lovely 3 day stay in a private cottage with great views. The bedroom, opening out onto the patio, was a highlight. A cracking wood burning stove kept us warm and cosy, plenty of wood available. The immediate area was not particularly appealing, but so close to Breacon beacons and coast that we did day trips out.

Had lovely weekend even had a take away delivered ! Good location for Brecons , Swansea and Carmarthen . Lovely and cosy once we got wood burner going .

we had An amazing stay not far away from beaches shopping centres there was always something to do. 😀 - it was lovely and clean really felt like your own home. we really liked the map that helped figure out what to do and where to go 😞 - the location access isn’t easy being on a steep hill.

Just arrived home from this beautiful hidden cottage not only did it meet our expectations it completely blew them away.. The pictures just don't do it justice the only fault I had with beautiful place was for me and the hubby 3 nights wasent no where near long enough and went in the blink of an eye.. Absolute perfection

We've just got back from a lovely stay at Peter's for our anniversary. The cottage is lovely and has everything you need. We loved the privacy of the place and the egg chair in the garden 😁 it was so relaxing. Peter is a great host and the communication and check-in details were very helpful. We especially appreciated the information on lots of different places to visit/eat etc its in a great location. We did the four waterfalls walk, which we loved and did lots of hiking and mountain biking. It was the perfect place in the perfect location. We would definitely stay again and are also looking forward to staying in his orher properties.

A lovely little cottage 😀 - The cottage is lovely and in a great location. We enjoyed exploring the local area on the bikes that you can hire from the hosts, and we also went kayaking and paddle boarding on a local lake. The facilities at the cottage are great and the welcome package with tea/coffee/hot chocolate/biscuits was a nice touch. We loved the house plants and the cottage beams and exposed brick work. 😞 - We were unable to figure out how to put together the sofa bed but we made it work - some instructions for this in the welcome book would be great. There is also no blocking out the sun from the living room which affects your sleep on the sofa bed, especially in summer when the sun sets late and rises early.

Nice clean,well appointed accommodation nestled in the hillside & even with a lot of houses around you it not overlooked & really peaceful.

We had a lovely long weekend at this lovely cottage. This place is a perfectly located in quiet area not far from swansea. Fully equipped and clean. Refurbished for high standard. Great view from bedroom. You really dont need anything else. You even doesn't want to leave the house. Highly recommended for couples to switch off from the reality.

Gorgeous cottage in a lush secluded location. The inclines in and out are a bit tricky, but worth it. Beautiful space for two with everything you could possibly need. The worst part - leaving!

Peter’s place is lovely. I took my mum there for 4 nights. There are so many helpful brochures for local walking routes, Swansea and Gower area. The cottage is secluded and so peaceful, and a good location within Pontardawe. The fireplace is a lovely touch and makes the place very cosy. Will definitely come back again

druve up little steep hill ,see sign in 4th photo just past this is parking ,.From here walk down the hill and turn up l 😀 - It lookedjust like the photo .Its a little difficult to get to by foot as its so seculed with beautiful veiws. . Having a log fire made the cottage feelso cosy and armed it far more quickly than using the heaters . The bedding was clean and good quality ,hot water plentiful .Ample seating inside and out . Beautifully tucked away but close to Tescoand Lidl .Down hill ,turn right ,through lights ,roundabout left ,next roundabout right into carpark .Remember not to buy too muchas you have to carry it back to cottage. Beautiful walk from gate turn left and up into woods then go up the steps .If you are brave enough drive on up the hill it will eventually take you ( us a map ) onto open moorland like being on top of the world . Fantastic area and close to The Gower . cant fault the cottage really is one of the best in Wales . 😞 - personally I found the hill s up to the parking area difficult as am a bit asthmatic but got used to them .Not a good place if you have bad knees.

Would highly recommend this cottage, it’s a great place to go if you would like somewhere quiet to go while exploring the area. We explored the waterfalls, caves and coast while here, all within an hour from the property. Would also recommend the pontardawe inn, we had a lovely meal there!

We had a lovely stay in Peter's cottage, it's clean and cozy with modern amenities - we loved the log burner and the shower is amazing! The cottage is located close to some good walking trails (information on these is also provided at the cottage) and isn't too far from shops and restaurants on the main street. Communication regarding locating the cottage and check-in information was clear and straightforward, we would definitely come back if we are in this part of Wales again!

Beili Glas Cottage is a nice and modern hideaway surrounded by lovely walks from your doorsteps. Peter is great host providing not only cosy and clean cottage with wood burner, but also lots of info for your days out. We only had three nights in the cottage, but it was enough to explore beautiful waterfalls, get tired and wet hiking and then relax by the fire. Highly recommended.

My husband and I had a very lovely stay at Peter's cottage. The setting is beautiful - tucked away on a valley hillside - and felt secluded, despite being relatively near shops. For sleeping, it was very quiet and dark (very little light pollution) which we appreciated.

The cottage itself was very clean, and spacious yet cosy, and Peter's communication was excellent. We'd definitely return.

This is a great little cottage. It has everything you could possibly need for a couples getaway in Wales. It has easy access to the beaches on the south coast and the Brecon beacons for the caves and waterfalls. The private parking as well is a bonus. Peter's guidebook was very helpful and the place was very clean and comfortable.

The cottage is very secluded which is what we wanted, but be prepared for lots of hills whilst in the area, but also lots of worthwhile views! Perfect base for exploring the Brecon Beacons.
The cottage had everything we needed, and a lovely welcome pack left as well.

Beautiful cabin in a very peaceful spot, out of the tourist busy spots! Easy to walk into the town or to travel to busier areas. Would definitely return.

Lovely cottage with a great kitchen/living area, outdoor seating was very private and got loads of morning sun. Conveniently located for a drive to the Gower/Swansea or Brecon. Didn’t get around to any local walks straight from the cottage but they also looked great.

This is a fantastic cottage perfect for my partner and I to have a break away. Cosy and clean with comfy bed and great shower what more do you need ! Got to give a mention to the Butchers Arms most definitely the best lasagne I have had in a pub/restaurant and other half thought the burger was amazing as well.

Lovely cottage hidden away in the trees. Lots of birds. Lovely shade, but also sunny patch to have breakfast and dinner on the terrace. We had a great long weekend here.
