Set in the breathtaking scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park, The Sleeping Giant is in a fantastic location for all activities.
The property dates from the 17th Century and retains many original features such as arrow slits and exposed oak beams. The centre is ideal for groups of all sizes. The well equipped kitchen has a microwave, fridge, freezer and six burner cooker. The dining room has facilities for up to 40 people, with wood block flooring and a wood burning stove. A lounge, study, two bath/shower areas and a large and effective kit drying room complete the ground floor.
The accommodation is mostly situated on the first floor in 9 separate rooms of between 2 and 6 beds. All rooms are centrally heated.
There is also a separate self-contained apartment that sleeps up to 4 people.
We also allow camping with open log fires on our adjoining field.
If you don’t want to cook for yourself, catering can be arranged or good food is available at nearby award winning pubs.
There are superb walks from the centre, including access onto the Beacons 100 mile footpath that traverses the National Park. We are also close to Henrhyd falls- the highest in the park – and the National Showcaves of Wales at Dan-yr-Ogof.
Absolute Adventure is also a licensed outdoor activity provider and can provide qualified instruction and activity courses as well as kit hire.
